Some of the N'ers were chatting a few weeks back and thoughts of change are always in our minds. Why you ask? Because we like the general public to see changes on our exhibition layout and so there is always something new on it to keep them entertained.
Last weekend saw a bit of 12 mm track go down including some really great very large curved points scratch built by Bob P. Darryl D and John B were also busy helping lay some track and of course Darryl just had to get a 12 mm train running on the few metres of track that got installed - so he gets 1st train run flag for the 12 mm.
You should check out Craig Mackie's blog (http://ca55ino.blogspot.com.au/) for his December 13th item, as he beat me to it for photos of all the entries in the December Modelling Competition. The only one I got that he didn't is the beaming smile of Peter Akers with his two trophies. The other winner was of course Dallas with his sheep wagon.
Now we all know of that most dangerous of Aussi animals, the Drop Bear - that Australian marsupial which is commonly said to be an unusually large, vicious, carnivorous marsupial related to koalas. Well, I am here to tell you that there is now another animal to be wary of - the Drop Cow.
We get some pretty good input at the club. Besides all the members and their individual experiences and expertise’s, we also have input from the books and magazines we get it. The club subscribes to some mags and members drop in their own mags once finished with, thereby more than doubling the variety of magazines we get in for members to read.
