So a few updates from the last few weeks. While Dave and Kev and Phil have been working away on some electrics on the HO layout, Peter and I have been busy down near the ravine and Bus Driver Paul has been busy working on the gravel pit.

Recently I had the opportunity to buy my first Auscision Models locomotive, I already have two of the C44ACi’s on back order and not yet received. This model I have received in hand is the GT46C-Ace locomotive in EDI/QR National livery and numbered LDP002. This was obtained from on online vendor Ross T. I saw his ad and a couple of quick messages and the deal was done. Two days later the latest addition to my stable arrived.
We have a new TV Celebrity in the Club...
... for a few seconds anyway :-)
Channel Nine New Gold Coast broadcast a nice piece on the Gold Coast Train Show which includes a few seconds of the RMCQ N scale layout and a sound bite of PK talking about controling trains with our phones.

Well, then you discuss it a little with a cohort and see if it carries water. If it does, you start to flesh it out a little more and so on with the odd discussion here and there until you think it is ready to unveil. So that is how CR 16-01 "A Small Yard in the Area West of Station" came about for the HO club layout.
