The RMCQ is a club for anyone who likes to make, run, talk about, or simply watch... Model Trains
So last weekend, the 17th Sept, was the Modelling the Railways of Queensland Convention. What a great weekend I had.
One of the layouts I visited as part of the convention was of course "Wattle Flat" - what a great NSW, HO scale layout Darren has out there - fantastic. Check out the odd 1 or 20 or more photos over on my blog:
Have you seen? If you have installed the latest version of SCARM, you can drive a train around it in 2D or 3D. Get to see roughly what your layout design is like from a more realistic perspective. AND of course it is all free - basic, but free.
Have you all read the latest AMRM ? Just released and guess what I saw when I opened it up? I never knew. They do say you learn something new every day.
And today, I learned that Scooter, AKA Craig Mackie, can write!
So check out his great article in this issue of AMRM.
Just a quick update from the MRQC committee on how things are going for the Convention. It is just 3 weeks away, and one week to the close of Registrations.
So building on my previous article on testing of LED strips and their light output and such, I finally ordered another few sets of the best one in Cool White as well as few sets of the same LEDs in Warm White.
So head over to my blog to read further...
So a few updates from the last few weeks. While Dave and Kev and Phil have been working away on some electrics on the HO layout, Peter and I have been busy down near the ravine and Bus Driver Paul has been busy working on the gravel pit.
